The team behind award-winning salon, Chumba Concept Salon, is mentoring Jarahs Hair (Berri and Loxton), Cherie Falco of Chi Hair Skin Body (Glenelg), and Jodie Yakalis of Jodie Yakalis Hairdressing (North St Mary’s, Sydney) through the Hair Shots 2 The World Star Spot program.

Kristy Hodgson of regional South Australian salon, Jarahs Hair was selected by Chumba’s Carl Keeley for a photoshoot mentorship after Hair Shots 2 The World requested expressions of interest on their Facebook page.

“For Jarahs, the experience of being mentored by Carl has been even more rewarding than I first imagined,” co-owner of Jarahs, Kristy Hodgson said. “Having a photographer who is a hairdresser was such a great benefit.”

According to Leanne Cutler of Hair Shots 2 The World, since entries for Star Spot opportunities arrived from many keen and motivated salons, two more places were awarded.

Chumba rising star Wade Blackford chose to mentor Cherie Falco of Chi Hair, Skin, Body in Glenelg, South Australia on her photographic work.

“To be mentored by Wade will give me an insight into his knowledge and be an exciting career development experience,” Cherie said.

Multiple Hair Expo Colourist of the Year finalist, Belinda Keeley has recently commenced a Colour Mentorship with Jodie Yakalis of Jodie Yakalis Hairdressing, North St Mary’s in Sydney.

“I’ve been a Belinda and Chumba fan for ages so to get the phone call out of the blue that Belinda was interested in being my mentor was almost unbelievable,” Jodie said. “I love colour and have just set up my own salon so I’ll have business and colour questions to work on with her.”
