Held in the spectacular Elder Wing of the Art Gallery of South Australia on September 20th, Damien Rinaldo fittingly created an artistic, origami hairstyle to complement a host of high profile designers at A Night of Fashion. Surrounded by art and adorning eclectic fashion pieces that screamed creativity, Rinaldo’s styling was the final piece of the puzzle in a tribute to art, fashion and beauty.

Rinaldo was joined by a team of Adelaide’s best stylists to create a look that exuded elegance, capturing sophistication in its classicism and minimalism. The look, entitled Origami Sleek, was created using evo and Cloud Nine products, with evo’s texturising spray, Mister Fantastic, and volumising spray, Builders Paradise, acting as hero products.

“The inspiration behind this look is drawn from Japanese culture and the world of fashion, the wearability of a ponytail meets high fashion,” said Rinaldo. “Think seams and cuts of fabric, the origami fold represents this. The look is simple yet interesting, it leads perfectly into fashion.”

The event had leading national designers Sass and Bide, Carla Zampatti, Willow, Bianca Spender, Scanlan and Theodore and Adelaide’s own Cameo The Label, showcasing their Spring Summer collections on a sixty metre runway. The internationally lauded Max Mara also presented their Winter collection, and designs by fashion students from both South Australia and Paris walked the runway too.

An evening dedicated to the significance of art in fashion, Rinaldo’s chic hair look translated both mediums in its artistry and elegance.
