Through 2025, Monique McMahon of Que Color and Que Academy, has launched Q-Wrap, which is a perforated cling-wrap dispensary system made for unique, faster and more precise colour applications. Made to elevate both salon colour and treatment services, Monique used her vast experience as an educator and colourist to innovate this new tool, which she hopes is both a considered and practical market essential.

“Q-Wrap is a little luxury, a secret from my salon floor,” Monique said. “After many rounds of testing with my team, I’m proud to introduce it to Australia. This specially designed recyclable box is my personal assistant – always there, with a great work ethic and reliable results for every client. Every hairdresser needs their own!”
Q-Wrap is made of salon-grade, 40cm by 40cm perforated sheets, with a transparent design for precise results, so colourists can monitor their hues during the process. The product also locks in heat for faster, reliable results in treatments and colour, where it retains moisture to enhance absorption, improve texture and shine and intensify the treatments generally.

The ergonomic tool has worked with Sustainable Salons’ co-founder Paul Frasca. It is housed in a custom recyclable box that is made to stick securely to the trolley, back bar or colour bench thanks to efficient sticky feet. Colourists can simply recycle the plastic in a Sustainable Salons soft plastics bin.
“Our skills are in demand, we need practical, sustainable tools like Q-Wrap to keep us on task, while innovating and pushing our beautiful industry into the new era of colour,” Monique said. “Achieve that viral glazed finish for every client by using Q-Wrap as your go-to for intensifying your deep treatments, colour shines and balayage. You’ll never need to second guess how long to leave them on.”
