Adelaide foil company Foil Me has represented the hair industry to a wider market, being nominated as a South Australian finalist in the categories of Building Communities and Outstanding Growth at the 2022 Telstra Best of Business Awards.

The awards process saw 24,310 South Australian contenders whittled down to 239 finalists, with six finalists in the category for building communities and five nominated for growth. The entry process included a multiple choice assessment on each business, extensive interviews and long form video and written questions.

“Becoming a finalist for SA means so much more to us than just an award – SA is my home state and although we’ve continued to establish ourselves in other states and internationally, to receive this recognition and to be chosen out of thousands of other businesses in SA, is huge! We are just so grateful to our Foil Me movers,” said Foil Me Co-Founder Emily Ciardiello.

“The highest scoring businesses in each state were named State Finalists, and if Foil Me wins our State awards, we will then go on to represent SA on the national stage, where we will pitch our business to a new panel of judging luminaries. To help craft our final pitch, we’ll be teamed with an expert Presentation and Speech coach before being flown to Sydney to present,” Emily continued.

State Winners will be announced in February 2022 at the South Australian Telstra Best of Business Awards event, while National Winners will be named in April 2022 at the Telstra Best of Business Awards event for the country at large. As Foil Me continues to grow globally and be recognised in various industry sectors, these events loom large for the brand.

“Foil Me started as a passion to help hairdressers, but it has become so much more than that – it’s now a community for hairdressers and a business which allows us to be involved at the community level, and I absolutely love that we have become, in a way, a safe haven or a company that our Foil Me movers and community members and businesses can rely on,” Emily shared.
