If Franck Provost Paris’ new collection is anything to go by, its going to be a long, blonde summer, writes Tam Allenby.
With more than 600 salons in 30 countries (including 23 and counting in Australia) and an annual client base of 10 million, the French hair empire is definitely a major trendsetter in the hair and beauty world – so it’d be wise to listen.
The collection was launched at a party in Sydney this month, where clients and industry figures were invited to enjoy a night of champagne and canapés that reflected the French sophistication of the Franck Provost brand.
Their new ‘Paris Wild Blond’ collection contains a variety of new shades, colour contouring techniques, short and long hair styles, and a series of upstyles and wet looks perfect for the upcoming Aussie summer.
The hero technique is titled the Indian Sun hair contouring technique, a trend and skill that is exclusive to the brand and focuses on the placement of colour in relation to the face shape of each client. The hues in the collection are all delineated into two major colour trends: Amber Gold Blonde and White Gold Blonde. Meanwhile tousled short looks and long, glossy styles ensure the collection boasts variety – all under that umbrella of covetable French hair.
According to founder Franck Provost, the key to blonde perfection is individuality. “Just as each woman is unique, there is not one blonde, but several with multiple shades,” he said.
