Franck Provost Paris has opened its 18th Australian salon, with a new flagship location at Sydney’s trendy Barangaroo. This 15th Sydney salon means the city has the largest number of FPP salons globally outside of Paris.

Situated in Sydney’s newest wharf-side area, the salon is located within the first commercial office building in Australia made completely from timber, giving the salon a signature design aesthetic, which the franchise as a whole is renowned for, with complementary eco-friendly feature in line with Barangaroo’s sustainable ethos.

Aesthetically, gold features, a crisp off-white colour palette and warm-toned leather contribute to a luxury, minimalist vibe. The interior design concept is called ‘Backlight’ as created exclusively for the franchise by furniture leaders Maletti, with sleek lines, warm hues and flattering lighting used to produce a sophisticated and cozy environment. The brand’s French roots and fashionable centre are also apparent in smaller details, such as gold chains that mimic Chanel accessories, tracked spotlights that convey runway shows and large, near leather-like tiles that pay homage to leather artisans Hermès.

The salon is specifically structured to provide pampering and relaxation, with a separate basin area becoming a peaceful sanctuary, and a designated makeup station providing the final glamourous touch. This serene aesthetic is supported by the salon’s eco-conscious, raw, industrial effect, including textured block walls, raw ceilings, natural elements and a hero forest garden wall. Expansive glass windows allow for an influx of natural light and, therefore, limited electricity usage.

“We are delighted that our company’s eponymous founder, Mr Franck Provost, has chosen Australia, and more specifically, Sydney, as a key business focus for the company, and for it to be the ‘second home’ for Franck Provost outside of Paris,” said Jean-François Carré, Master Franchisor for Franck Provost Paris Australia. “This reinforces our plans for the growth and development of the network to reach all corners of Australia over the next couple of years and echo the same strength and presence the Franck Provost brand enjoys in Europe. We are very excited to launch our 19th Australian salon at Barangaroo and be part of a centre that is undoubtedly one of the leaders in the future of urban development.”

“Guests can look forward to receiving professional five star service on every level from the moment they enter Franck Provost Barangaroo,” shared Libia Pellarini, who will be at the helm of the salon, utilising her incomparable business, hairdressing and fashion experience to take the salon to new heights. “Our clients can enjoy some Parisian pampering whilst we take care of them and all of their hair needs.”
