On April 28th 2014, men’s haircuts and styles took to the stage at the American Crew All-Star Challenge in Europe, with German hairdresser Jerome Kantner taking out the much coveted men’s grooming award.
Held at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Potrugal, Jerome Kantner impressed the judges with his masculine and modern entry and was crowned the Global Winner in front of an audience of 3,500 people.
More than 1,1000 stylists from 18 countries entered the competition with finalists from 14 countries (including Australia, Denmark, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Norway, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States) chosen to represent on the global stage.

“Jerome’s look exudes classic American Crew, with meticulous barbering skills and refined proportions,” said American Crew Creative Director, Craig Hanson.
“The wardrobe styling was fresh and masculine, and the art direction perfectly captured an authentic message of the modern man.”
Sofia Azorakos, who represented Australia in the competition, travelled to Lisbon to fight it out against national winners from 13 other countries and said the experience was one she’ll never forget.
“I feel so blessed to have taken part in this incredible event. I met some great hairdressers and had the time of my life”, Azorakos said.
