It was a fittingly luxe offering when ghd once again partnered with Victoria Beckham at London Fashion Week AW ’22, creating a look entitled Enhanced Texture. Session stylist Cyndia Harvey and her team styled a look inspired by individuality and natural movement and texture.
“ghd’s tools are just made for being backstage, they have everything you need to create any hair look and are truly the most hardworking tools out there,” Cyndia said. “The look for Victoria Beckham’s AW ‘22 collection was natural, effortless hair. Victoria wanted the girl’s natural beauty and confidence to shine through. We did a centre parting on most of the girls, ensuring that it didn’t feel too perfect or forced, added some water and a little product such as ghd Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray, or ghd Dramatic Ending Serum where needed,” Cyndia said.
“The collection has some amazing silhouettes this season, they’re strong and structured. We wanted the hair to complement them and offer something a little softer, working with the pieces and not distracting from them. For example, we tucked hair into the oversized collars on the jackets, which gave that modern and typically VB feel,” she continued.
The trend features different styles and structures with effortless shaping, forming a slept in look with a cool girl edge. Hero tools included the ghd Helios hairdryer, ghd Platinum+ styler and new ghd Thin Wand to add definition to natural curls. The ghd Unplugged styler was used for final touch-ups backstage. The tools created a wearable salon trend comprised of sleek bobs, framing and lived-in texture, as anchored by healthy shine and healthy polish.
“ghd really are the best! I use them both personally and professionally. They’re the perfect partner for fashion week in particular, tools like the Unplugged have changed the way the teams are able to work backstage,” said Victoria Beckham.

- Prep: “To achieve the look today we started out prepping the hair with ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray to create the perfect protection to ensure the hair doesn’t get damaged.”
- Style: “To really capture the natural look, we let the hair air dry then finished with the ghd Helios hairdryer. We styled the sections with the ghd Thin Wand to add some definition to any natural curls or waves.”
- Finish: “We used the ghd Unplugged styler, which is such a versatile tool and great for touch ups, to add any final extra waved motion in the hair and give it a little bit more texture to promote natural movement. To finish we added the ghd Perfect Ending Final Fix Hairspray and ghd Curly Ever After whilst teasing the hair to keep the texture locked in place.
