After postponing Hair Expo 2020 earlier in the month, the event organisers have made the difficult decision to cancel the event altogether.  As a result of COVID-19, the 2020 event will not be able to take place and instead will next be hosted on June 12 to 14 2021, eliminating an important weekend of honouring the community, networking, education and innovation from the year.

“Following our earlier announcement regarding the postponement of Hair Expo Australia and in line with Australian government regulations, the team at Reed Exhibitions Australia have been working closely with you, our customers, as well as the venue and our contractors to identify the most suitable new dates,” a statement said.

“Initially, we were optimistic that Hair Expo Australia would run later this year and our principle focus was on ensuring that any new dates were ideally positioned to support all our customers in capitalising on a more positive return to trading,” it continued. “The dates that were given to us did not meet these criteria and so we have made the difficult decision not to run the event this year. We appreciate that this is disappointing news, however we have made this decision with everyone’s health and safety as our number one priority. We can now look ahead to the 2021 edition with more certainty. We will continue to do our utmost to help all our customers, partners and attendees to prepare for the next edition, and we will ensure that the industry stays connected during this time.

The statement continued to thank its partners and contributors as we weather yet another disappointing aspect of this crisis together.

Looking ahead to 2021 in Sydney has never felt so pivotal and we forge through this pandemic as an industry.
