Named one of Sydney’s best restaurants with two chef’s hats, an Aria experience was the perfect choice to gather key industry figures and media to witness a long awaited product from Australian-owned haircare innovator, H2D.
Seated in the private dining room with view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay, H2D Creative Director Sam Overton greeted guests with his charisma and charm – perfect for a setting that was all about unwinding and enjoying the incredible food as much as it was about the new product.
The new H2D iR hairdryer
Guests savoured oysters, barramundi and an incredible array of sides and desserts while watching a custom-made video of Sam demonstrating all the features of the product.
The new H2D iR uses ionic technology and infra-red heat to dry faster than regular hairdryer technology. Containing an in-built ionic generator which creates millions of negative ion particles that better seal hair cuticles, hair is actually left infused with moisture, frizz-free and with a silky ‘just conditioned’ feel.
Also containing in-built infra-red heaters, the heat penetrates deep into the hair shaft and dries from within and thus reduces drying time and overall damage to the hair.
Containing a soft-touch casing for a luxurious feel and an LED light to show the ionic technology, it takes hairdrying to a new level both in and out of the salon. It also comes with a diffuser and a specifically designed H2D tangle brush.

To support the launch of the product H2D provides an extensive education program, both through live educational shows for hairdressers and stylists across Australia and online video ‘how to’s’ that enable hairdressers all over the world access to the H2D skill set.
Owned by husband and wife team James and Lorraine Foley, together their technology and hairdressing experience have already proven to achieve great results with other leading products in their range including the X3 and X5 curling wands.
From a product development stage to the final product, both James Lorraine and Sam work tirelessly to ensure the product is truly of a leading standard both in terms of innovation and practicality.
