Sit down at the two stages that are taking over Hair Festival 2025, the pinnacle two-day hair event that’s taking place this weekend on June 29 and 30, at The ICC, Sydney. Right in the heart of the Festival Hub, AKA the event’s massive exhibition floor of bold, new, dynamic and enthralling brand activations, two stages will offer bite-sized education all week long. Did we mention this is all totally free to experience?
The Hair Festival Hub offers free registration for all these experiences and more. THE STAGE., sponsored by XB1 Professional, will offer headlining education throughout the weekend, while the all-new Business Connect Stage, sponsored by Matsui Hair, will also educate and inspire you. The Business Connect Stage has a more intimate setting to focus on business discussions pertinent to salon owners and managers, as well as independent hairdressers. It will also deliver product information.
You can expect presentations in 15-minute slots from pioneering brands and educators across both days of the event. The Hair Festival Competitions, sponsored by O&M, will also take place on these stages on Monday morning. Models from the Education Sessions will also be displayed on the stages.

On the new Business Connect Stage, you can explore topics such as natural haircare for Children, thanks to Ana, Jayden and Joshua Saad of eekoloks® Haircare Australia, with precision razor etching techniques courtesy of Cathy Davys Hair Design & Education. Business insights will be delivered by such leading educators and brands as Sonia Tomas, AKA The Salon Dr, as well as Angela Rose from Indie Hair Academy, Shortcuts Software, Caitlyn Muir of Iconic Coaching and Vish Hair Colour Management Software, which will teach profit-driven pricing with Sheree Knobel, Sharlene Lee, Ash Croker, Brodie Lee Tsiknaris and Aygun Sana.
The Business Connect Stage will also offer philanthropic sessions. Learn how to support your clients with compassionate conversations through cancer, thanks to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation’s ambassador Emily Somers and oncologist Dr Joanna Fardell.

A business panel from Pinkchic Hair Care and presentations from Hair Candy Australia, House of Metamorphosis, Inspire Brands, Wahl and CPR Hair are just some of the sessions that will teach you men’s hair, salon services and beyond. Organic SUKU’s Chrissy Zemura will showcase five live textured hair looks, from the inspiration to the techniques and tools behind each transformation.
As a pinnacle feature of Hair Festival, THE STAGE. will see leading brands such as milk_shake, Seamless1, Wahl, KYK Hair Care, Moroccanoil, De Lorenzo, Joico, BKT Beauty and Artègo traverse haircare, hair extensions, barbering and more. Leading educators such as the legendary Sharon Blain for Hair The Movement, certified trichologist and corrective colour expert Missy Peterson for Malibu C and the renowned Kobi Bokshish for Stellar will also take to the stage.
You can expect keratin straightening lessons from Winamor and its Perfect Pass innovation, Nanoplastly straightening education with MJ, Co-Founder of Floractive, and textured hair on this stage as well from Chrissy and Organic SUKU.

XB1 Professional will debut their original Biotin Nanoplasty that’s made international waves, Danger Jones, headlining global artists Chrissy Danielle and Tia Lambourn with Australia’s very own Lexie Shay, alongside founders David and Alexis Thurston, will teach their power of community and Shae Tsiknaris for Alfaparf Milano Professional will educate on personal branding.
Emcees across both stages for the weekend include such industry experts as INSTYLE’s own Jo Cowan and Sam Ewart, Hayley Mears, Taylah Jones, Stephanie Mason, Alex Daniel, Paula Hibbard, Sheridan Shaw, Tamara Reid and Peter Elchaar.
You can experience this all for free – and take home a Hair Festival goodie bag with your registration – but be sure to register in advance to skip the lines this weekend. Then upscale your weekend by booking your tickets to the Education Sessions, Wonderland party, REALtalk Business Forum for salon leaders and beyond.
