Joico’s Salon I-deas II Takes Off Next Week

Joico’s renewed education initiative will begin next week and continue in dates around Australia for weeks afterwards.

The launch of Salon I-Deas II brings the sequel to the 2014 sessions centred on consumer-focused creativity. This second instalment will feature four new salon-friendly commercial cutting and colouring techniques, designed with versatility and your clients in mind. Students will then be able to adapt these looks to suit any client, giving clients a cut or colour that suits their budget, aesthetic and lifestyle. The seminars are open to all hairdressers, whether they be Joico clients or not.

“Salon I-Deas by Joico teaches hairdressers, at all levels of experience, to tap into their inner artists in order to create a look based on the actual client in front of them,” shared Joico Vision Director Gianni Scumaci. “By learning the craft of understanding and interpreting for individual suitability, hairdressers will be encouraged to value, develop and define their own creative voice and sensibility during the course, which is fundamental to the philosophy behind this concept.”

What’s better than learning cut and colour techniques to perfectly suit your clients? Learning these techniques and then winning a trip to Las Vegas with the Global Stylist I-Deas Award. By sharing images (that’s right, even photos taken on your iPhone) of your workshop creations or the unique cutting, colouring and finishing skills you’ve learnt during the day, you could win a trip to the City of Lights for you and your colleague. You’ll also be feature in JOI Magazine, on the Joico website and on the brand’s social media channels. Joico lays out five simple steps in the competition. First, be inspired at the workshop, then cut, colour, and finish your look. Finally, share your work, by writing about your concepts, snapping some images and entering them into the competition.
