Just Cuts hosted 80 Franchise Owners from Australia and New Zealand at the Sofitel, Broadbeach on the Gold Coast from August 11th to the 14th in one of its most successful conferences to date. Sponsored by Salon Concepts, as well as other big-name companies across a range of industries, including the Commonwealth Bank and Slaters Lawyers, the conference saw three days of brand launches, entertainment and inspirational speakers.

The brand began the conference with a bang, launching three new products, Pomade, Firm Clay and Scalp Treatment Shampoo, in their professional styling and care range, JUSTICE Professional. A guest list of Franchise Owners, Just Cuts Academy Team Members and local stylists enjoyed a retro Grease themed cocktail party for the conference opening.

The next day saw the conference turn to business, with a business planning workshop conducted by special guest speakers SMART Franchise, before attendees took to dinner and the theatre for the evening’s entertainment.

The third day included the exclusive launch of JustOnline, a brand new marketing and communications tool from Just Cuts and the new system for the brand’s 180 salons across Australia and New Zealand. Custom built by a selection of Franchise Owners around the country, the system is made to match the daily marketing and operational needs of Just Cuts salons and has been well received in the initial test phase which has seen it used in fourteen salons nationally.
This launch led the way to a group of panel discussions in topics pertaining to accounting, marketing and communication, team building and insight into the JUSTICE Professional range. The evening was filled by an Island Adventure, where attendees were taken by boat to an exotic island for cocktails, a barbeque, live musical entertainment and team building exercises.

The final day was comprised of varying activities to close the conference on a high note. Starting with an address by guest speaker Justin Herald, a young entrepreneur and multi-award winner who created clothing brand Attitude Inc., this inspiring seminar led onto a Franchise Owners meeting with Just Cuts CEO and Founder Denis McFadden and COO Amber Turbull, which discussed the business details of the brand going forward.
A Black Tie Gala Dinner doubled as the Just Cuts International Awards Night for 2013/2014, where salons were recognised for exceptional financial performances over the previous year. Among the many awards handed out, Laurie and Paul Broomhall from New Zealand and John and Monica Longmire from Australia won the Client’s Choice Award, Tammy Biglari won the JUSTICE Professional ANZ Retail Champion Award and Damian and Cassandra Colefax won the top honour of Australian Franchise Owner of the Year.
With a healthy balance of business and pleasure, Just Cuts thrilled its Franchise Owners for three days of enjoyment and development, leaving attendees already anticipating the next event.
