As part of the fiftieth anniversary for the world class brand, Kèrastase Paris have launched new styling products that create timeless looks to perfection. The brand launched the new Laque Noire, V.I.P. Volume In Powder and Baume Double Je products, comprising the ultimate in French chic styling.
Kate Moss is the face of the new styling collection
The Kèrastase Couture Styling line was launched last year, a massive achievement even for a brand so accustomed to success. This year, the new products are giving the collection a boost. The line is the first luxury styling collection for the brand, utilising L’Oreal Professionnel Advanced research to create the pinnacle in optimum texture and aesthetic.
The collection has a well-known face at the helm, with Kate Moss once again a muse for the brand. The collaboration between Moss and the brand, specifically under well-known hair stylist Luigi Murenu, who was behind the campaign, showcased Moss’ iconic je ne sais quoi and the brand’s styling abilities. Together the pair created looks that referenced Brigitte Bardot, and the elegant sophistication of the French sixties. “Luigi is a great friend of mine and we’ve worked together on shoots for many years,” said Moss. “So I was excited about the chance to collaborate with him and the Kèrastase brand.”
The Baum Double Je is one of three new products
The new products were showed off to the media by 2014 Australian Hair Fashion Awards Session Stylist of the Year Sarah Laidlaw, who utilised the products to create three distinct looks. This included the 1920’s Great Gatsby look with perfect waves, the BB Bombshell look that calls back to the big hair of the swinging sixties, and the modern Perfect Ponytail look. While rooted in history, all looks are perfectly on trend on international runways today.
“Excellent quality, high performing styling products are imperative in my job,” said Laidlaw. “Since Kèrastase launched its incredible collection of styling products last year, I am always prepared for anything that gets thrown at me. The three new products are so easy to use and, as always with Kèrastase, do exactly what they say they will. It’s all about creating beautiful and natural looking hair that lasts.”
The new products add to an already addictive collection, as Kèrastase continues its mission to create its own generation of Brigitte Bardots.
