KEVIN.MURPHY to Style Melbourne Fashion Week for 14th Year

KEVIN.MURPHY’s partnership with Melbourne Fashion Week is well into teenage-hood, with the brand back to style the dynamic show for the 14th straight year. The fashion week takes to Australia’s most fashion-savvy city (sorry, Sydney), next week, conducting a myriad of shows from September 1 to 8, and Kevin and his team will be on board and on set to ensure the hair perfectly complements each look.

The team will be tasked with creating a multitude of looks to suit a range of designers, for runways including a David Jones showcase and five different niche runways exploring various local and high-profile designers. The long list of impressive names includes Alice McCall, Yeojin Bae, Asilio, Scanlan Theodore, Thurley and Misha Collection. Other shows such as the Emporium Runway, a Gala Dinner, the RMIT Young Designers showcase and the Closing Show ensure it will be a full week of fashion, hair, beauty and creativity at Melbourne Town Hall.

The styles directed by Kevin will provide a glimpse into the upcoming trends of spring and summer, working to complement the fashion collections, all individually crafted by the team of Session.Stylists.

“It’s incredible to partner with Melbourne Fashion Week for the fourteenth year,” Kevin said. “We have seen the event change and evolve over that time and have built some great relationships with the team and designers involved. Every year, MFW brings together the most incredible leaders in fashion and beauty across Australia and it is an honour to again be a part of it.”

We’ll be there, chatting to the hairdressers backstage, and sitting in the crowd to deliver you videos, images and insights on social media, and on Styleicons. Please join us in counting down.
