It’s a lengthy union to rival any relationship, as Kevin Murphy will once again be the creative force behind Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) in 2016. Kevin will be the Hair Director of the dynamic festival for the 13th consecutive year, once again previewing and highlighting the trends for consumers to anticipate for the incoming warmer months.

“To partner with MSFW for the thirteenth year is an honour,” Kevin said. “MSFW brings the best in Australian fashion and beauty to the consumer, as well as being recognised by the industry, making it a truly unique event that I love being a part of. Spring is an exciting time to showcase new trends and inspire reinvention. The MSFW shows always generate fresh and creative ideas in both beauty and fashion.”

Kevin will be supported as always by his team of Session.Stylists, as they take the reins backstage for high-profile shows and designers such as Yeojin Bae, Akira, Nevenka, Romance Was Born and Alice McCall. Aussie actress Isabel Lucas was concurrently named as the 2016 festival ambassador, meaning there will be iconic faces both backstage and front of house.

“I’m thrilled that Isabel is this year’s ambassador. Every time I work with her, we have a great time on set and she’s never afraid to be adventurous with her look,” Kevin shared.

MSFW is set to take over Melbourne from August 26 to September 2, with runway shows, workshops, exhibitions, fashion films and cultural activations. Melbourne’s renowned venues and laneways will be transformed to highlight the city’s fashionable and cultural epicentre. As always, we can’t wait.
