KEVIN.MURPHY’s historical inspirations are well documented, after a stellar showing at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week that referenced everything from French Baroque to the Victorian Gothic era, but styling for Adelaide Fashion Festival, the brand inundated Adelaide with a modern charm.
Hair Directors Lucy Lasenzaniro and Jason Fassbender with AFF models
Led by festival Director Lucy Lasenzaniro, the official hair partnership included styling for the Opening Ball, Designer Showcase and Parade on Norwood, and modern features, such as twists, braids, knots and small fringes, were all on the agenda.
AFF Opening Night
The Opening Ball, held at Government House, was styled with an edgy Japanese inspired ponytail that used sleek architectural shapes and lines, created by Lasenzaniro herself.
The Designer Showcase was styled by Jason Fassbender from Parlour Hair. He created a modern, twisted ponytail, comprised of soft textures and feminine shapes that merged current trends with classic romanticism.
Uros Mikic of Kinky Curly Straight led the styling for the Norwood Place Parades, creating a sleek modern look that crossed braids with a quasi-mohawk, in a cool street style that showed off the daring innovation of the KEVIN.MURPHY team.
Three distinct looks complemented South Australia’s best designers, utilising a myriad of techniques and KEVIN.MURPHY tools to evoke modernity at its finest.
