L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2018 Hosts Victorian Semi-Final

25 hairdressers faced each other head on for an unquestionable battle royale as the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy semi-finals officially began in Victoria last night. With state semi-finals taking place over the next month, the Victorians led the way, taking to the iconic Carousel on Albert Park Lake to show off their skills.

Creating their looks live in front of an esteemed judging panel, the contestants put their looks forward for an inspiring runway show before the finalists were announced. Congratulations to the three Colour Trophy finalist entries – Courtney Treyvaud and Lyndal Salmon of Biba Academy, Danni Solier of Xiang Hair and Jaki Dimasi of Ruby Hair Design. Congratulations as well to Rising Star finalist Alex Cordell of Rakis on Collins.

“Colour Trophy is a great opportunity to give Aussie hairdressers a starting point for their careers,” shared semi-final judge Damien Rinaldo. “Speaking from my own experience as a past L’Oréal Colour Trophy winner, this competition was the biggest thing to ever happen to me.”

Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney are next up before a live Grand Finale in Melbourne takes place in February next year, where 15 Colour Trophy finalists and 5 Rising Star nominees will fight it out for the prize pool. The international competition takes place worldwide, across 37 countries and 5 continents.
