L’Oréal Professionnel showed off their high fashion chops once again last Friday, partnering with Reebok to style the hair for their #BeMoreHuman campaign, with an overall theme of female empowerment. The collection was created in collaboration with Gigi Hadid, and was presented as a fashion show at Carriageworks, Sydney, as followed by a panel discussion centred on women changing the world.
Kylie Cruickshank from Judena Hair in North Bondi directed the show on behalf of the brand, alongside hairdressers hailing from salons including Diior10, Sloan’s, Suki, Frank Provost and Belcastro Hair.
High ponytails, braids and top knots anchored strong, sporty looks across the runway.
“We didn’t want the models to look too polished or perfect – we wanted to keep it real, embracing natural hair and curls.” Kylie said. “For most looks we used L’Oréal Professionnel Air Fix Hairspray and Super Dust through the roots to create texture, finishing the look with Fix Max gel and sculpting hair around the face for a worn-in look”.
Luxury sportswear and ultra cool hair as led by a national fashion powerhouse, major hair conglomerate, representatives from many of Sydney’s beloved salons and one of the world’s top supermodels, all with female power at its core – what more could you ask for? If only we could all go to the gym looking this good.
