Lorna Evans joined with thermal styling leader ghd for an exceptional long hair styling Look and Learn tour in Australia and New Zealand throughout 2014. Working with ghd Education Manager Robert Kovacs and his team, the group showed off six editorial and commercial looks to awe-inspired audiences in five tour dates. The shows were held in Auckland, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Mount Gambier.

Lorna showcased her versatility, presenting looks that showcased her trademark editorial side and others that would be perfect from a salon standpoint. This was perfectly matched by the commercial acclaim and technical prowess of the ghd styling tools. Utilising accessories and styling the models in her usual elegant fashion aesthetic, Lorna played with waves, curls, braids and her famous unique long hair shapes.
“As much as I love to push the boundaries with hair, everything always has to come back to ‘how do we put the dollars in the till with happy clients?’” Lorna said. “So every event I do is about inspiring stylists to practice techniques that will help control long hair and be able to achieve a beautiful finish.”
In a year that refuses to slow down, Lorna will next head to London for Salon International, where she will perform an independent show on the HJ stage, followed by a two day workshop in Mayfair at the exclusive Eleven Salon.
Australian and international stylists have long benefitted from Lorna’s editorial twists on salon-ready long hair styles, and with a booming education portfolio, expanding repertoire and union with ghd, these benefits continue to increase.
