A clever mix between enthralling show and dynamic hands-on workshop, the Matrix Playground event is set to light up Salon Melbourne this year. Taking place this Sunday night on March 1st at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event is open to everyone and promises a night of creativity and artistry.

Matrix’s newly appointed Creative Director Uros Mikic will begin the evening by sharing the inspiration behind the brand’s 2015 trend – Graffiti Nation. The collection is inspired by Matrix’s American Heritage and the world of urban art, particularly in its use of bold colour techniques, 3D shading, fluid cuts and a mix of graphic and soft hairstyles.

Uros and the rest of the Matrix Australia Design Team, consisting of Andrea De Deugd, Peter Dorio, Lores Giglio, Mathew Johnson, Paul Ricupito, will then launch the new styling range, Style Link. The team will outline methods of lightening and experimental hair colour with the new tools.

This performance will be followed by a practical session led by the Design Team, where attendees will be able to create looks utilising Style Link and an innovative new weaving tool from the US, The Stitch.

Canapés and drinks will be served on the floor, as guests soak in the latest looks and then try their hand at creating them. With this high level of design on offer, it’s not to be missed.
