For all those not obsessively following the fashion schedule, think of us as the automatic reminder in your phone. Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia 2017 starts this Sunday with an epic Dion Lee opener, and extends all the way to Friday. The show has an overall resort wear seasonal theme and will mostly be taking place at Carriageworks, Sydney, with some special off-site events as well.

We’ll have images, hair director interviews and how-to’s to ensure you get the most hair inspiration fashion week can possibly offer, without having to trek out to Carriageworks yourself.
Redken will be the event’s official hair partner for the 10th straight year, styling the Dion Lee opener and then designers such as Akira, Christopher Esber, Ginger & Smart, Michael Lo Sordo and STRATEAS.CARLUCCI, before partnering with the consumer-focused Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Edition event on the weekend of May 19 and 20. Acclaimed session stylists such as John Pulitano, Philip Barwick, Richard Kavanagh, Dmitri Papas, Justin Pace, Marie Cain, Ben Martin and Paloma Rose Garcia will take the reins for the brand backstage.
Other brands creating looks for the runway include KMS, Goldwell, Wella Professional, Oribe, Cloud Nine, evo and KEVIN.MURPHY, with big name hairdressers such as Renya Xydis, Ali Holmes, Dale Delaporte, Alan White, Diane Gorgievski, Lauren McCowan, Sophie Roberts and Shane Henning leading the way.
In beauty, Napoleon Perdis is the event’s official makeup partner, and MAC Cosmetics, Shu Uemura, Lancôme and Dermalogica are among the talented makeup and skincare teams backstage.
