Sydney’s beauty media joined Moroccanoil for breakfast this week to celebrate the launch of The Smooth Collection. A morning event at Double Bay’s trendy new venue Vine hosted the brand’s Creative Design Team Educator Kevin Hughes, who travelled all the way from America to explain the new line and present two models wearing looks achieved with the products.
The Smooth Collection was created to imbue all hair types with shine and smoothness, offering to instantly increase manageability, whilst simultaneously strengthening, nourishing and conditioning the hair. The range is enriched with the brand’s argan oil infused blend, nourishing argan butter and coconut derived fatty acids, as well as being devoid of sulfates, phosphates and parabens.
“It is the first time that Moroccanoil launched a product category altogether as a collection, so we are very excited about that,” Kevin shared. “We want people to see the complete transformation to their hair by using the full smoothing range. It was also a first for us to use argan butter in our hair care products.”
Comprised of four products, the range is made up of the Moroccanoil Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner, the Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion and the Moroccanoil Smoothing Mask.
The shampoo and conditioner smooth hair from the inside out, through an advanced, proprietary Amino Renew ingredient that infuses hair with vital amino acids. The lotion is a lightweight styling product that provides instant control, long-lasting smoothness, shine and anti-frizz. Finally, the mask is to be used as a weekly treatment to improve hair texture, shine and manageability.
“Amino Renew helps to realign the protein bonds in the hair for a smoother cuticle layer by infusing with hair with vital amino acids, resulting in shinier, healthier looking hair with less frizz,” Kevin explained. “I find it is really hard to find a product that does what it says it will do and I have found that with the Moroccanoil Smooth Collection.”
