Eco-friendly distribution company Orb Distribution has made a change, selling 100 per cent of its shares to the founders of Easydry.

The range of Easydry towels were founded over a decade ago by brother sister duo Anne and Gerard Butterly, and then launched into Australia and New Zealand in 2009 under the guidance of Jo Burgess and Gavin Hinton.

The company then rebranded in 2012 to Orb Distribution, after successfully building the business on the back of the Easydry towels, and now boasts an extensive range of other luxury, sustainable products. The portfolio includes recycled aluminium foils Refoil, water-saving showerheads Ecoheads and Easydry’s sister brand of towels Zimples.

These shares have been sold in their entirety to Anne and Gerard, who will continue to promote and grow the brands, with plans to double the business over the next two years.

“Australia and New Zealand have always been key markets for us,” Anne explained. “We are grateful to Jo and Gavin for the amazing work they have done on the ground, building up a thriving business. We would like to reassure our staff and clients that they can continue to expect the same great range of products and the same excellent service from Orb Distribution.”

“Gavin and I have thoroughly enjoyed our years with Orb Distribution,” Jo continued. “From a complete startup in 2009 we have worked with our business partners to grow the market, thereby securing our place as leaders for innovation, sustainability and luxury products. We are extremely proud of the business we have built to date and we wish Orb Distribution continued success and growth. Gavin and I are excited to move on to our own new and exciting opportunities, after ensuring a seamless handover.”

It looks like it’s a win-win for everyone, and Orb Distribution will continue to be your first port of call in the pursuit of salon ranges that help the planet too.
