You knew it was a sunny day in Sydney when Oribe set up stage for its first atelier of 2017, as the full-day education event took place under the looming presence of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The education workshop was set at Wild Life Hair at Milson’s Point, with a multitude of inspiring editorial and creative looks to motivate attendees.
The agenda was headlined by Oribe Australia Creative Director Julianne McGuigan, who demonstrated a look created by high-profile Oribe Ambassador James Pecis, entitled The Victory Roll. Also, Adam Dyer of Wild Life Origin and Belle Jackson of Hair Cartel also showed off their own Avant Garde looks. Hairdressers finished off the day by trying out their newly acquired skills on live models before undertaking the requisite photo shoot.
“We had a fantastic day full of styling and inspiration,” Julianne enthused. “The stylists learned a combination of techniques that were compacted into our hands-on look. We provide all our Oribe students and stylists with great models to work on so we can create beautiful images of everyone’s work. We close the day with a photo session with our photographer Dan Knott on a professional set. A truly valuable asset to document everyone’s work!”
