Paul Mitchell showcased his adventurous spirit, as the official sponsor of the XTERRA Asia-Pacific Championship triathlon held on April 26th.
XTERRA’s Australian leg was sponsored by Paul Mitchell
The XTERRA World Tour holds races in some of the world’s most eclectic environments and the inaugural Asia Pacific Championship was held in New South Wales’ Jervis Bay. Paul Mitchell provided the entrants with samples, allowing them to keep their hair fresh in a gruelling schedule. The travel-size products Paul Mitchell has become renowned for provided the perfect fit for the athletes who were on-the-go.
“Paul Mitchell has supported this event internationally for many years,” explained John Pizzey, Managing Director of Paul Mitchell distribution company Three Six Five. “This year we had the fantastic opportunity to sponsor the XTERRA Asia-Pacific Championships here in Australia and become part of the global event. Sponsorship of major sporting events has long been a global Paul Mitchell initiative. In the past we have actively supported such Australian events as the BRW triathlon in Melbourne, creating incredible exposure and product trial for Paul Mitchell.”
The event featured a $50 000 pro purse and two internationally distributed TV shows. It is the 10th of 37 events before the World Championships in Maui in October.
With the XTERRA championships unifying the global athletic community, Paul Mitchell’s worldly travel-focussed brand was the perfect choice as sponsor for the Australian leg of the race.
