Important news in the hair industry has arrived as Australian professional haircare brand NAK Hair announced that Australian private equity firm Adamantem Capital (Adamantem) has joined the business as a majority strategic investor. The firm will support NAK Hair’s growth and vision in building its prestige as a leading, professional global haircare brand.
“Adamantem’s investment is a huge vote of confidence in the strengths of our team, who have dedicated their efforts into crafting the incredible business NAK is today,” shared Sonia Chadburn, CEO of NAK Hair. “Adamantem is an Australian private equity group with a reputation for investing in high-potential businesses like ours and partnering with founders and management teams to deliver results.”
“I am excited about the opportunity we have in front of us to pursue our growth ambitions and to better support our salons, business partners and customers. Thoughtful hair care and our authentic relationships with our salon partners are at the heart of NAK and we will remain grounded in our genuine passion for developing beautiful products that reflect our down to earth values as we grow further.”
NAK Hair aids salons and professional hairdressers with their natural care technology, and currently services over 3000 Australian salons after experiencing significant growth over the past year. In facilitating continual growth, Adamantem has joined the brand as a capital partner to back the management team as they grow NAK further. NAK Hair founders Tony Rigney and John Cash, will maintain a minority investment and remain on the Board of NAK.
“This is an exciting next step for NAK,” Tony said. “It has been almost 18 years since John and I started NAK and we never expected that we would grow to where we are today. From our very first meeting, John and I believed Adamantem was the perfect partner to invest in NAK and back the management team to grow NAK even further than we could imagine. Most importantly, Adamantem shares NAK’s fundamental values and beliefs, and they recognise the importance of our valued NAK team.”
Adamantem invests in companies who are poised to grow significantly, while investing in initiatives to ensure strength, resilience and sustainability for the business, making NAK Hair the ideal candidate.
“We are very proud to be partnering with a leading professional haircare team in Australia,” shared Andrew Bullock, Managing Director at Adamantem. “We look forward to working together with the NAK team as they continue innovating, supporting salon partners and growing in Australia and overseas. In particular, we support NAK’s authentic, down-to-earth relationships with their salons and customers and its mission to create beautiful, and natural, haircare for everyone.”
Congratulations to both companies on this significant new step.
