We took five with Australian hair luminary and Dyson Hair ambassador Damien Rinaldo from the famed Boris the Cuttery Salon. The multi-award winning hairdresser talks about the years both past and ahead and his thoughts on Dyson innovations and their effect on trends, style and hair health.

What are you looking forward to in 2022?

I’m really looking forward to travelling again and getting out there and being creative. Working is where I get most of my inspiration from so I can’t wait to start shooting

Your hairdressing highlight in 2021?

Getting the front cover for body+soul magazine nationwide for a campaign that was really close to my heart

Biggest trends in salon at the moment?

We are finding that this year our main focus was healthy hair at Boris and Dyson has been a huge part of that for us. Most of our clients changed over to Dyson hair tools and have seen amazing results.

Which Dyson innovation is your favourite right now and why?

The Dyson Supersonic Flyaway attachment has been great for people to use at home. It makes life so much simpler!

Editor’s note: The Dyson Supersonic™ Flyaway attachment is the new tool developed specifically for the Dyson Supersonic™ hairdryer to effectively hide flyaways without the use of extreme heat and equipping stylists with a smoothing tool for all hair types.

Why does the Dyson Corrale Pro especially suit hairdressers?

It’s the best straightener on the market by a mile, nothing comes close to the results you get using the Dyson Corrale. The performance of it is incredible on so many levels

Editors Note: The Dyson Corrale Pro is a professional cordless straightener, beloved for its durability, flexibility and intelligent heat styling capabilities.

Favourite looks to create with Dyson hair tools right now?

I’m loving the flat wave created with the Dyson Corrale cordless straightener and the natural beach wave you can create with the diffuser attachment on the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer.
