Redken Announced as Official Hair Partner to Dion Lee

Global haircare brand Redken 5th Avenue NYC is excited to announce an exclusive collaboration with Australian fashion designer Dion Lee.


Since debuting at Australian Fashion Week in 2009, Dion Lee has quickly established himself as one of Australia’s leading fashion designers. Having shown internationally since 2012, Dion Lee designs have become known for their unique aesthetic and futuristic prints.

The collaboration began earlier this year, at the Dion Lee New York Fashion Week Fall Winter ’14 show. While Dion Lee presented a hard-edged yet feminine collection featuring cut-outs, sheer separates and leather detailing, Redken Hair Director Jon Pulitano (Headcase Hair, NSW) lead a team of Redken stylists backstage to create a modern, chic hair look to complement Dion’s designs. Most recently, Redken led the hair direction for the Dion Lee show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia earlier this month.

As the Dion Lee brand has grown, a natural partnership has developed between the fashion house and Redken, as they are both looked to for their ability to set trends and create innovation in their respective industries.

“This partnership is very organic for us,” said Redken 5th Avenue NYC General Manager Sandra Kelly.

“We see the Redken and Dion Lee brands as a perfect fit. Redken is known for setting trends in hair and we’re backstage at international fashion weeks from New York to Paris every season supporting some of the world’s most influential fashion designers.”


“Fashion is a strong part of our brand DNA, so for us to support and align ourselves with local and international labels is paramount.”

Dion Lee is just as enthusiastic about the collaboration. “I am extremely excited to be partnering with Redken and working with the Redken creative team to develop hair concepts on various projects that really express the brand and capture the feel of my collections,” he said.
