Revolution Collection

They say you want a revolution, well you know…

These images scream sixties, fitting really, because with the Revolution collection you’re sure to have the Beatles in your head all day. An impressive part two of the Coachella collection series, rokk ebony Style Director Daniella Barca references the bold colours, floral embellishments and hippy sentiments of yesteryear.

“I wanted to create a timeless collection that is a story with a statement,” Daniella said. “Using the famous phrase, ‘make love, not war’, I wanted to reflect how this is still relevant in the world we live in today. The metaphor of ‘smelling the flowers’ led us to consider the connection with nature and natural beauty was another inspiring factor that helped us envision what we wanted to re-create or re-invent.”

With retro muses such as Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot, Danielle utilised flowers, adventurous, contemporary crops and, in partnering with rokk ebony colourist Adam Isles, rich, intense colours to paint a vivid picture of the 60s. One that is still very relevant today.

“Think Summer of Love on an heiress’ budget; Talitha Getty in Morocco or Cher (in the Sonny days),” Daniella said. “These were references from recent international fashion week shows by Milan by Pucci, Gucci and Etro which initially sparked my imagination.”

Centred on creativity, the natural and freedom of expression, Danielle proves that even 50 years later, we all want to change the world.
