Rokk Man Barbers, a subset of the increasingly iconic Melbourne Salon Group Rokk Ebony, is finding its niche in Melbourne’s male styling market since opening in November last year.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better opening season,” said Rob Ferlaino, a partner and specialist barber. “After only 10 weeks from opening fellow barber Ben Kane and I are ready to hire more barbers!”
A prime city location for a Rokk Ebony salon became the natural conception of Rokk Man Barbers. The salon group jumped on a clientele inundated with male corporate executives and the growing barbering trend by opening the barbershop within their existing salon. A premier stand-alone barbershop is poised for 2015.
“After surveying Rokk Ebony’s male clients, we discovered that men saw the brand as feminine and when considering the male to female client ratio, this is true,” Rob shared. “So the concept for Rokk Man Barbers was born, with the now successful intention of creating a relaxed masculine space where men can relax during their 30 minute appointment – with a boutique beer or spirit, if they choose.”
An impressive collection of national and international products line the shelves. US products Baxter of California and Layrite, the UK’s Bluebeard’s Revenge and Melbourne’s own Modern Pirate Pomade are all in retail contention.
With a standalone plan in place and more and more men streaming through the doors, it’s only up for Rokk Man Barbers.
