The acclaimed Rokstar salon in Brisbane’s West End has marked the start of 2020 with an exciting expansion. Following a year in which they saw unprecedented success and growth, Director Brodie Lee Tsiknaris is now celebrating a new and improved vision alongside her award-winning team.

The long-anticipated next phase sees the salon expand its premises by extending into the next-door space, allowing clients to enjoy the same convenience and comfort of the familiar location with additional room.

The luxurious redesign takes the salon from 13 to 18 stations, making it a little easier to score a coveted appointment, which Brodie says has been a demand from clients.

“Our clients have been crying out for more appointments for a while now, and we are so glad we can deliver, as well as open up the books for so many new clients,” Brodie said.

The architecture of the space was designed to mirror the Rokstar brand. It’s imaginative and innovative, with a touch of sophistication and grittiness to keep everything oh-so-cool.

Situated in a former industrial glazing factory, the salon is the definition of urban chic. It takes inspiration from its previous factory usage and combines it with sleek modern touches. Adding in dramatic European archways, Venetian plaster and a monochromatic aesthetic, the salon has transformed into a boutique space where clients and staff want to be.

One of the salon’s newest additions is the PIIQ hub. It is here where stylists and clients can sit in comfort to discuss the appointment. There is also the introduction of ‘The Hair Spa’; a revamped basin area sectioned off from the rest of the salon to provide a relaxing oasis for treatment services.

Despite all the changes, Rokstar’s iconic selfie wall remains in place for all social media needs.

Rokstar is also diving head-first into opportunities for continued industry growth and proudly work alongside partners L’Oréal Professionnel, Shu Uemura Art of Hair and ghd. It’s renowned for its award-winning team and has previously been recognised with awards such as the 2018 Hair Expo QLD Hairdresser Of The Year.

“So much love and work has gone into this fresh new salon by the team and me and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it in person,” Brodie concludes.
