Salon Melbourne has once again delivered the industry another successful and inspiring showcase of hair and beauty over two days of exceptional education, stage shows, and networking at Melbourne’s Convention & Exhibition Centre on March 23rd and 24th.

Celebrating its most successful event to date, this year’s expo saw a growth in exhibitors, pre-event ticket sales, registration and its largest visitor count yet.

The Salon Melbourne floor was a-buzz with excitement from not only keen visitors, but also many brands that were there to embrace the opportunity to engage with the industry. Rob Gattuso, Brand Director of Ozdare was thrilled with the overwhelming turn-out this year, and the success of his own brands at the expo.

“Salon Melbourne was a huge success for both our ELEVEN Australia and American CREW brands. The weekend enabled us to engage with our trade and consumers, and gave us a chance to show our brands exactly as we wanted them to be seen! It’s the perfect platform to showcase our education offering on the Main Stage and to launch new products. Having sold out of almost everything on the Sunday was hugely exciting and humbling for us to see that our brands were so well received.  A great event to be a part of.”

In exciting news, Salon Melbourne is proud to announce that in 2015 the event will be collaborating with the Hair and Beauty Industry Association (HBIA), and Salon Melbourne will be hosting the HBIA’s Australian Hairdressing Championships, allowing visitors to witness the amazing live work of this renowned competition. Hosting the event over the exhibition weekend also means that participants and competitors will get to be amongst the exciting buzz of Salon Melbourne.

“The Board of HBIA is thrilled to be co-locating the HBIA Australian Championships alongside the Salon Melbourne event for 2015,” said Sandra Campitelli, HBIA General Manager. “HBIA envisages this will further promote and develop the vibrant hair and beauty industries in Victoria and offer further opportunities for industry education and engagement.”

“Salon Melbourne has been growing continuously since its beginnings in 2010 and we could not be more pleased with this year’s incredible performance,” said Event Director, Amelia Coote-Harris. “To support the local hair and beauty industries, we’re always looking at ways to better the event and deliver unique opportunities for the Victorian market. We believe that collaborating with the HBIA in this way will create much higher levels of exposure for both events next year.”
