The battle rages on in L’Oréal Professionnel’s epic Colour Trophy run, with semi-finals continuing into round two in Adelaide. Hosted at The Ellington in Hackney, the second round decided the best of 25 live semi-finalists from South Australia and Tasmania, ultimately crowning three Colour Trophy finalists and one Rising Star entrant.
After the alluring runway reveal, the advancing finalists named included Massimo Tirimacco of ZoHair for an ash blonde colour with dark roots, Joe Cotroneo from Zink The Element of Hair for a honey blonde colour imbued with brown lowlights, Diana Carnevale, also of Zink the Element of Hair for a black hair colour with emerald green and, in the category of Rising Star, Nathan Smith of Parlour Hair for his light peach entry.
The second round follows last week’s inaugural Victorian event, which saw Courtney Treyvaud and Lyndal Salmon of Biba Academy, Danni Solier of Xiang Hair and Jaki Dimasi of Ruby Hair Design advance to the Colour Trophy finals, and Alex Cordell of Rakis on Collins continue as a Rising Star. The competition will continue to heat up, with three more semi-final events continuing on through November, in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney. The Grand Finale event is set for February, and will host fifteen Colour Trophy finalists and five Rising Star finalists overall. Winners of the major event will earn themselves a plane ticket to compete in the international event.
“The live atmosphere at the SA event was electric,” enthused L’Oréal Professionnel Australia General Manager, Olga Zanetti. “We witnessed some exceptional technical skills and the creation of beautifully unique looks. Congratulations to our four finalists for their engaging and fashion-forward colour work, and thank you to all participants for making it such a dynamic event experience.”
As the semi-final tour continues to travel the country, more talent, artistry and skill is coming to the forefront. We, for one, are enjoying the ride.
