There are new hands steering the ship for Schwarzkopf Professional, with the appointment of a new General Manager for Australia and New Zealand. David Hahn will take over the reins from current GM Edward Grimson, who is relocating to Croatia. David will draw on his business experience as a central member of the international management team for Henkel, Schwarzkopf Professional’s parent company.
“I’m excited about the growth opportunities in both the Australian and New Zealand markets, and our business model of putting the customers and their salon success at the heart of everything we do is a simple but powerful one,” David shared. “I want to continue to establish Schwarzkopf Professional and Indola as the most innovative, fashion-forward hair care brands in Australia and New Zealand. I want the brands to continue to be relevant to the current generation of hairdressing stylists as well as being aspirational and innovative to the next generation of hairdressers.”
David’s experience with Schwarzkopf and Henkel is detailed and varied, spanning positions such as General Manager for Schwarzkopf’s US mass consumer business and leader of the integration of acquisitions SexyHair, Alterna and Kenra Professional businesses. This work has led him from the US to Germany and now Australia.
Concurrently to this commencement, Nathan Gorman will return to brand operation as the Schwarzkopf Professional marketing manager, cementing the management team as we head into the new financial year. A multitude of new launches on the horizon for the brand are set to make the next 12 months particularly significant.
