The judges in the 2025 International Hairdressing Awards have been announced and Australia’s own Sharon Blain has been named in the illustrious panel.
Sharon has been included alongside Sam Villa from the USA, Felicitas Ordás from Spain, Nicky Clarke from the UK and Ilham Mestour the Netherlands, congregating some of the biggest names in global hair in one panel.
Sharon is nationally and globally renowned hairdresser and educator, as last year’s IHA International Hair Legend of the Year , as well as a five-time Hair Expo Educator of the Year and Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
Sam is the 2020 International Hair Influencer of the Year, and also received the 2017 NAHA Lifetime Achievement Award among many other accolades. Felicitas is a salon owner and the President of the prestigious Club Fígaro in Spain. Nicky is a renowned celebrity hairdresser whose clients have included Princess Diana, David Bowie, Brad Pitt, and Naomi Campbell, and who has received an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II. Lastly, Ilham is an editorial hairdresser who spent over a decade as the Artistic Director for Keune Hair Cosmetics and is now the Artistic Director of Balmain Hair Couture, with celebrity clients including Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and more.
The 2025 International Hairdressing Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 21, during the HairCon event at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, as founded and directed by Spanish hairdresser Mikel Luzea.
