A salon focused graphic designer is debuting online thanks to Six Underground Media, geared towards hairdressers, beauty professionals and salon owners who may not have the budget to outsource design work for social media or salon branding. The course teaches graphic design using the same design principles taught in hairdressing cutting and colour techniques.
“There was a need for salons to have quick access to design tools to better control the aesthetic narrative of their brands online,” said Six Underground Media founder, Hayley Mears. Hayley has been in the hairdressing industry for 22 years, launching Six Underground Media 11 years ago to innovate in salon branding and social media strategy.
The course includes over two and a half hours of video content and 20-course modules each with their own eBook. It teaches participants to create bespoke artworks quickly and easily to execute salon promotions, becoming essential in salon marketing. Content instructions include social media tiles, digital artworks, print artworks, business cards, newsletters, Instagram stories, gift vouchers, price lists, menus and animations.
The wide ranging course will cover ‘Introduction to Canva 101 for Salon Businesses’, with video tutorials and PDFs that tech this platform, offer ‘How To Guides’ with reference tools on design, and present a ‘Creative Tips and Hacks’ section, where participants apply the skills they’ve learned in basic templates to create their own unique designs.
The course will also look at emerging design trends and offer downloadable design assets of backgrounds, textures, design accents, transparent design accessories and new fonts. It includes access to the closed Marketing Facebook group for Six Underground Media, which delivers additional free resources and hacks that are regularly updated.
Elevate your skills in every facet of salon business by taking design and marketing into your own hands.
