Due to the ongoing restrictions and border control caused by the pandemic, the 2021 International Hairdressing Awards, the ceremony’s third iteration that was originally scheduled for March, have been postponed.
The event estimates that the awards ceremony will take place in April or May, with no exact date given, as long as the pandemic figures continue to improve. As more information comes to light, the International Hairdressing Awards will provide updated details on dates and streaming avenues.
The eventual awards ceremony will take on a unique format, working around the difficulties of hosting a massive in-person awards event. Mikel Luzea, founder and director, and Sergi Bancells, global ambassador of the awards, will travel around the world together with a recording team to surprise the winners and hand-deliver the awards, to be broadcast live and created into an eventual television products that showcases this evolving around the world ceremony.
The awards have already announced the finalists (be reminded of them, here), with fifteen finalists chosen from almost 600 participating collections and representing seven countries – the Netherlands, Italy, Taiwan, Malaysia, the USA, Spain and the United Kingdom, in a live online address last year.
The unique event should be progressing and in your feeds soon enough. We’ll keep you updated.
