The Australian Fashion Chamber, partnering with leading hair care brands TONI&GUY and label.m, has announced a range of membership and mentorship options. The programs will be of benefit to any stylists, designers, photographers and creative directors, in a bid to unite and develop the fashion, hair and beauty industry.
“We are delighted to open up membership of the Australian Fashion Chamber,” said AFC Chairman and Australian Vogue Editor in Chief, Edwina McCann. “Membership will provide Australian designers access to mentoring, networking events, training conferences, seminars and award programs managed by the AFC.”
Mentorship will be conducted by various members of the AFC Board of Directors, based on the specific needs and requests of Australian designers. The Board of Directors have experience in fashion, beauty, journalism, marketing, retail, finance and legal fields, with Directors hailing from Calvin Klein, Harper’s Bazaar, Zimmerman, Tiffany & Co. and more.

Regular membership will be available to designers only, while associate membership is open to individuals or companies who are involved in retail, media, design, creative, photography, graphics, textiles or manufacturing. Other membership types will become increasingly available.
“The goal of the AFC is to bring the industry together to support emerging and established talent, pooling our talents to support theirs,” said McCann. “We believe that mentoring plays a critical role in development, and with a consistent standard of training and support we can continue building the Australian fashion industry to a greater scale.”
The organisation is not-for-profit and was recently formed for the good on Australian creativity and ingenuity. As an integral part of editorial and street trends, TONI&GUY and label.m support this commitment to the Australian fashion industry.
