Australian industry expat Tracey Hughes continues to add to her resume, recently being awarded the designation of Certified Speaker Professional (CSP), the first in the hair and beauty industry to do so.

The CSP, established in 1980, is an international designation, conferred by the National Speakers Association USA (NSA) and Professional Speakers Australia (PSA) upon speakers who adhere to stringent criteria. The fact that Tracey has delivered speeches to over half a million hairdressers and corporate clients globally shows how deserving she is of this honour, which identifies speakers who have proven that they constantly deliver presentations that are of value to their platform.

“To be bestowed with the CSP accreditation is a goal I set myself a couple of years ago and I’m ecstatic to be awarded it as it displays my transition from hairdresser, to artist, to educator, to speaker,” Tracey enthused. “As the only CSP in the hair and beauty community it creates greater recognition for our industry.”

Tracey has been awarded Educator of the Year and Excellence in Education four times each, with an education agenda that spans from Australia to China, South Africa, Sweden, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, the USA and beyond.

“It was my honour to recently award Tracey Hughes her CSP. The Certified Speaker Professional designational is an international benchmark indicating the skill, experience and ethics of a professional speaker,” said Michael McQueen, President of Professional Speakers Australia. “It is the pinnacle of achievement within the speaking industry and is one that Tracey has earned in every way.”
