Last week at the Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative), Australia was enthralled and inspired by the Hedonism collection, the winning International Hairdresser of the Year collection created by renowned global industry leader Errol Douglas from the UK.
As Australians find acclaim in increasing international awards overseas, we’ve introduced this award on a national scale as well, rewarding and highlighting immense talent abroad. Accepting his award over the phone, Errol had more words of appreciation on Instagram.
“This is so overwhelming in so many ways since receiving this outstanding honour from the Australian hair community, a creative Mecca as a country. This has made a bit of history, being International Hairdresser Of The Year in two continents, with completely different collections,” Errol wrote.
Last year Errol won at the International Hairdressing Awards with the Britannia collection. Continuing that streak and legacy with Hedonism, the collection shows off bold hues, patterns and beauty, with exceptional shapes and texture, as hair is used as material, fabric, mould and canvas all in one.
