PR and marketing consultant Leanne Cutler has been appointed to The Australian Hairdressing Council taking effect this month.
“The AHC is thrilled to engage a hair industry professional of the experience and calibre of Leanne to assist at this vital time, seeking opportunities for the industry at large,” said Anthony Wynne-Hoelscher, AHC Chair.
Executive Officer of Hair Expo in its formative years in Sydney in the early 1990s, Leanne has strong hair industry experience in her own business Siren Marketing and its international hairdressing PR division, Hair Shots 2 The World.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the AHC membership grow through participation in the Salon Select accreditation program as an essential part of their business foundation,” says Leanne of her future with the AHC. “Most other professions have an industry body to support them, so I am really keen for the AHC to take root so that it supports and represents hairdressers long into the future.”
Mr Wynne-Hoelscher said that as Leanne’s career had also included development, membership and marketing roles the AHC would be at a great advantage and Leanne agrees.
“I have been aware for a great many years that the Hairdressing Industry requires an industry body that can represent it a government level, set national standards and be prepared to tackle issues, innovate and keep the industry at an internationally recognised level of activity. Therefore, I am very pleased to hold this role that will help facilitate Board activity and the AHC’s overall objectives,” says Leanne.
We congratulate Leanne on her appointment!
