With Sydney’s iconic Opera House in the background and punk tunes floating through the air waves, models braved a crisp Autumn morning to reveal swimwear label Anna & Boy‘s Rockabilly-inspired 2009 RAFW collection.
With sharp quiffs, white bobby socks and make up with a strong emphasis on the lip, Anna & Boy‘s latest collection was a lesson in Rockabilly chic – via the beach. Plunging one piece swimsuits sashayed beside the skimpiest of bikinis, loose shirt dresses, pants and more than a smattering of denim.
With hair looks executed by ghd Hair Director Sophie Roberts, the look was that of tough summer with a sprinkling of 80s for good measure.
“I started with ghd maximise mousse to prep the hair before dividing it into three sections and setting the triangle section through the top with the ghd IV styler. The back section was rolled into two pleats then saturated with the ghd shining serum to give a really wet, glossy sleek look before I twisted the hair into a rockabilly shape through the top,” said Roberts.
