A regular fixture on the runways of New York, Australian designer Kit Willow made a stunning return for Autumn/Winter 2010, supported by long-term partner ghd and hair director Sophie Roberts. 

Willow’s latest collection, Eclipse, received overwhelming praise, using the natural curves of the body as a canvas with fabrics working like a second skin to highlight a perfect eclipse of the feminine form.

“Kit is wonderful to work with because she is a true collaborator,” said ghd Hair Director, Sophie Roberts, who created an effortless style inspired by the beautiful collection.

“The inspiration behind this look really comes from the woman who wears WILLOW. She is strong and feminine and her hair reflects that,” said Sophie.

“This season was all about ‘fierce beauty’ so for hair, this translated as a simple but deliberate style that says modern chic… a low, side parted ponytail, rough in texture,” she added.

Supporting Sophie backstage was members of the New Zealand ghd directive team, Michael Beel, Sara Allsop and Iain Smith, who flew to New York especially for the event.
