Drawing on the colours of the ocean – sand, gold, metallics, mother-of-pearl and azure blue – Willow evoked the stunning sea scapes of north-eastern Australia. The label’s signature draping featured alongside tailoring, corsetry, metallic trims, rope detailing and shell embellishments that beautifully complemented the deep-sea theme – all of which was augmented by Xydis’ natural looking locks.
“I wanted the Willow look to be natural, elegant and effortless but also incorporate a dishevelled structure,” said Xydis.
“I created a beautiful, effortless ponytail with an undone, fluffy texture created with ghd fat hair lotion through the crown and blow dryed and teasing it through with a brush before securing it at the nape of the neck in a looped ponytail.”
This year’s show is not the first time Willow has partnered with ghd – the solid relationship has its roots in the famed Australian label’s 2005 New York debut.
