Australian fashion wunderkind Josh Goot unveiled his Autumn/Winter collection at the recent London Fashion Week, in collaboration with ghd.
Goot’s second outing at London Fashion Week, the design supremo delivered a collection that was inspired by geology – specifically the patterns, colours and shapes of opals.
“This season my inspiration was stone and I took that idea and tried to build texture and technique into the clothes,” said Goot.
Refined yet earthy, the range featured tight fitting pieces predominantly in black and cream with a few statement pieces covered in the opal-inspired palette.
ghd’s Sophie Roberts led the hair direction (assisted by ghd Directive Renee Walkom ) creating looks that were as sleek as they were strong. Uber straight in texture and featuring a wide side part, the hair perfectly complemented Goot’s clean lines and minimal aesthetic.
“The hair was influenced by the graphic and linear nature of the collection and it was almost moving like ribbons on the runway,” said Roberts.
