Fresh from New York and London Fashion Weeks, ghd hit Auckland’s shores recently for the ninth annual Air New Zealand Fashion Week.
ghd hair directors Jayne Wild, Lauren Gunn, Leonie Ferguson and Lucas Dowling created sumptuous looks at some of the week’s biggest shows.
First up was Alexandra Owen’s show where Lauren Gunn of Stephen Marr salon created curls and movement befitting the collection’s equestrian theme.
Little Black Dress
Next up was the Coke Little Black Dress show where Jayne Wild created ten unique hair looks for brands such as Kate Sylvester, Alice McCall, Alpha 60, Marnie Skillings, Adrian Hailwood, Romance Was Born, Jimmy D and Kirrily Johnston.
The next day saw the ghd New Generation show hit the runway with Leonie Ferguson and Lucas Dowling of Vada hair leading the creative direction. Chapel, Emmaford, House of Exis, ISBIM, Serena Fagence, Tara Cunniffe, Trix & Dandy and Whiri were some of the featured emerging designers – texture and high-gloss hair completed the looks.
Held off-site, Karen Walker was the final cab off the rank with Lauren Gunn and the team at the Stephan Marr Newmarket salon holding the styling reins. The hair was slick and clean, centre-parted and placed over the ears – low ponytails covered the nape of the neck.
