Inspired by the intricate beauty of Japanese woven baskets, Herrera’s latest collection exhibited a calming palette of amber, rose and caramel with plenty of ivory thrown in for good measure – all of which was augmented by the relaxed and ‘piecy’ hair looks created by Pita.
With Moroccanoil on hand, Pita created a series of textured low twisted chignons ornamented by long strings of intricate seed-beads swept through the hair. “We used argan-oil infused Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream to prime the hair and give it a natural looking, frizz-free texture with soft hold,” said Pita.
“The beads were designed to blend subtly through the hair; appearing almost as if they were embedded in the strands themselves.”
Pita ensured the tousled unstructured look was maintained by using a brush to blow dry the hair while intermittently mussing it with his fingers to enhance its natural separation and create lots of definition.
A celebrity favourite, Moroccanoil is enjoying cult status with its luxurious argan-oil infused products famed for their ability to nourish, strengthen and protect the hair in a weightless formula.
