Brad Ngata interior
Brad Ngata has moved ‘uptown’ and into the subcultural phenomenon that is Ivy – notorious for luring the who’s who of style and status, Brad’s iconic salon has assimilated with the likes of Ksubi‘s Dan Single and George Gorrow to the downtown CBD corporate execs.
Inspired by a grand French salon once owned by Madame Pompadour, Scott Weston Architecture and Design PL revamped the 68 square metre space with witty, innovative ‘oh so Ngata’ ornamentation. Custom-made laminate mimics classic French panelling whilst imported crystal buttoned Maletti armchairs sit like thrones on a solid timber herringbone-design floor.
Bevelled mirrors and velvet musk curtains contrast with royal mauve draw linings illuminated by Moooi lighting. Welonda has placed its luxury stamp on the basin area and Kerastase ritual room that chirps with spring cherry blossoms. From the delicate teacups to plaster cornices, attention to detail is infinite – Brad has even ensured staff retain theme with Fleur Wood tailor-designed and interchangeable uniforms. No doubt job applications here have reached an all time high.
