A completely new range from Christophe Robin is hitting salon shelves, with a new line of nourishing, moisturising, defining and frizz-taming treatments for touchable and shapely curls, waves and coils, titled the Luscious Curl Collection.
The series of two rituals are tailored to different hair types and uniquely blend superfood ingredients, sensorial textures and beloved fragrances for expertly crafted consistent curl codes to be enjoyed by all the senses.
The series addresses the extra dryness and fragility of natural curls, and focuses this on different curl types, where these features can be exacerbated with tighter coils, as it becomes more difficult for sebum to travel down and penetrate the hair shaft. Within these styles, cuticles can stay open and lack nutrition, leaving hair porous and dry and curls unstructured, frizzy and lacking shine. This collection offers necessary moisture and nutrition to these curls.
This series offers two separate categories that reflect the dedicated care regimen needed for unique curl types. Curly and wavy hair with a relaxed ‘S’ pattern need lightweight hydration, gentle care, curl enhancement, hold and frizz taming, while very curly and coily hair types with a ‘Z’ shape can be susceptible to breakage and require deep hydration for maximum softness and strength.
In the first series for wavier hair types, the two-step process uses the Curl Conditioning Cleanser with Chia Seed Oil, a luxurious foaming cleanser that gently detangles as it infuses wavy to curly hair with weightless moisture from root to tip, deeply conditioning and instantly reviving curls for softness and definition. Step two uses the Luscious Curl Defining Cream with Chia Seed Oil, a sleek conditioning cream that controls frizz and enhances the shape and texture of waves and curls so they appear smooth, shiny and instantly more defined, with a natural finish.
The technology uses the power of a beautiful botanical blend of Chia seed oil and sustainably sourced Nigella seed oil that are rich in omega 3 and 6 for shine, smoothness and frizz-fighting properties.
In the second series for coily hair types, the two-step process uses a Luscious Curl Cleansing Balm with Kokum Butter, which is a low-foaming cleansing balm for the ultimate nourishment. This is followed by the use of a Luscious Curl Defining Butter with Kokum Butter, a deeply nutritive, richly-textured leave-in mask that defines very curly to coily hair to strengthen and intensely condition curls. The hero ingredient of Kokum Butter prevents damage and breakage without making hair feel oily.
The full range is infused with a subtle scent that features delicate notes of Bergamot, White Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang and Velvet Musk, merging tangible textures with a covetable fragrance.
